Tips and tricks on how to remove Catchmaster's glue

Tom -

To dissolve our glue, we recommend using any variety of safe oils you may have on hand such as:

  • vegetable oil
  • olive oil
  • baby oil
  • mineral oil
  • or mineral spirits.

Effectiveness can depend on the surface in question, but these should be suitable to remove glue from skin, many types of floors, and non-target animals. We always recommend testing any oil you intend to use on a small, indiscrete area of a surface to observe effects before using large amounts on a wider scale (Dawn dish soap works wonders for oil stains, though!).

Should glue get on clothing, we recommend having the garment professionally dry cleaned. If it's a piece you don't have to treat with extreme care, you can put it in the freezer; once the glue freezes, it will harden and be easier to scrape off using a fingernail, credit card, etc. This can also work for surfaces if application of oil isn't feasible by way of ice cubes.
