Catchmaster glue traps work best within the following temperature range:
50°F to 95°F (10°C to 35°C). Extreme temperature fluctuations are not recommended.
The effects of temperature on trap performance looks roughly as follows:
- Below 50°F (10°C):
- The adhesive may harden, leading to reduced stickiness.
- Above 105°F (35°C):
- The adhesive can soften or melt, diminishing its effectiveness.
- Direct exposure to sunlight or heat sources should be avoided. UV rays in sunlight can damage the adhesive and cause it to lose effectiveness, and heat can cause the glue to flow and thin out.
