Placement
- Where is the trap located? Traps should be placed along walls, in corners, or in areas with visible pest activity (e.g., droppings, nests, or chew marks).
Pest Activity
- What type of pest are you targeting (e.g., rodents, insects, or flying pests)? Make sure that they’re using the right traps
- Are you seeing recent signs of pest activity near the trap?
- Could there be other food or shelter sources distracting pests from the trap?
Environment
- Is the trap in a dusty, humid, or wet area? Dust and moisture can reduce adhesive effectiveness.
- Is the trap exposed to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures? High heat can soften glue, while cold can harden it.
