Which ants is Defiant effective against and how can I tell which ants I have?

Defiant Ant Bait is confirmed effective against the following ant species: Acrobat, Crazy, Ghost, Sugar, Argentine, Odorous house, Pavement, and Little Black Ants. It is not effective against: Carpenter, Fire, and Pharoah ants.
